Country Description

The Congolese economy is largely dominated by oil production, which accounts for almost two-thirds of GDP, 90% of exports, and 75% of budget revenues. The country boasts of significant hydrocarbon reserves, with an estimated 1.6 billion barrels of oil reserves and 90 billion cubic meters of natural gas. In addition, Congo has abundant mining resources. Congo has many fertile lands, main crops are cassava, plantains, bananas, peanuts, and palm oil.
